Attack on LF Offices Aim To Intimidate March 14
Environment Minister Antoine Karam condemned in an interview with NOW Lebanon on Friday the attacks against the Lebanese Forces offices in Sin al-Fil and Kfour, which he said aimed to breach security and disrupt civil peace.
He said that the attacks were part of the attempts to intimidate the March 14 alliance, adding that they were unacceptable militia practices that contradicted the concept of a powerful state.
Karam questioned the significance of the attacks, especially since they took place only a few months before Election Day and brought up the possible link between the attacks and the calls by Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun to hold the elections in two days instead of one, as originally decided.
