The Lebanese Forces Students Association participates in DEMYC European convention
Upon the invitation of the European DEMYC organization, comrades Wissam Habchi, head of the public relations and foreign affairs department, along with Robert Tawk, head of the American universities have participated in one of the leading European conferences held lately in Vilnius, Lithuania.
The conference was inaugurated by the welcoming speech of the organization’s chairman Mr. Paul Hamisson followed by scores of speeches from the representatives of the conservative and democratic Christian parties of Italy, Georgia, Cyprus, Croatia, Serbia, Belorussia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Estonia, Poland, Latvia, Hungarian, Holland and Lebanon.
The word of Lebanon was addressed by LFSA representatives and which had shed the light on the situation in the Middle East in general and on Lebanon in particular, in addition to the ways leading to better the relations between Lebanon and the European countries.
The participants had a series of meeting with the Lithuanian minister of foreign affairs Raza Yuknifisyani, and many other deputies from both the conservatives and the Christians parties.
The participants met afterwards with the Belarusian opposition representatives who have taken a permanent residence in Lithuania.
Otherwise, the LFSA representatives and the European delegations toured Vilnius and visited the parliament, meeting with MPs and exploring the leading governmental institution in the host country.
Finally, “under the sky of Lebanon” short movie was offered from the LFSA to every head and member of the European and Lithuanian delegations, along with another movie about the most attractive sightseeing places in Lebanon and the history of the Lebanese Forces and LFSA booklet.
It should be noted that Lebanon represented by LFSA was the sole non- European country to attend such a unique youth conference.
