Anyone Who Wants To Infiltrate LF Is Delusional
Lebanese Forces MP Georges Adwan said during a public meeting in Achrafieh on Saturday that anybody who wants to infiltrate the Lebanese Forces is delusional. “Everybody knows our potential as Lebanese Forces,” he said.
Adwan said that the LF would accept any choice taken by Achrafieh residents in the coming parliamentary elections.
He added that the Special Tribunal for Lebanon wants to say “no” to the assassinators and those who were trying to hide their identity. He said that the Lebanese should have a state capable of fulfilling relevant international resolutions, and that Lebanon needs to take practical measures to facilitate the work of the Special Tribunal.
Adwan spoke about electoral alliances in Achrafieh, saying that Future Party MP Michel Pharaoun is a “friend” and the LF will continue to work with him. He said that candidate Nadim Gemayel will continue in the path of his father, slain former President Bachir Gemayel. He also said that Nayla Tueni will continue the political struggles undertaken by her father, assassinated MP Gebran Tueni. Adwan added that the LF and the Kataeb will reach an almost final understanding on all Lebanese regions, noting that the two parties have ties that go deeper than the upcoming elections.
Adwan concluded that all Lebanese should be encouraged to come to Lebanon to vote, adding that it was shameful that Lebanese emigrants can not vote from Lebanese embassies.
