Provocative Speeches Not Frightening, Tension They Create Unacceptable
Future Movement MP Ahmad Fatfat said, “Provocative speeches do not frighten anyone,” but the tension they create was “unacceptable.”
In an interview with the Voice of Lebanon radio station on Friday, Fatfat said that those creating problems for the Special Tribunal for Lebanon were possibly suspiciously trying to cover up for some people, similar to the suspect withdrawal of opposition ministers from cabinet when it approved the tribunal on Hariri”s assassination after the killing of Gebran Tueni in December 2005.
Fatfat added he was surprised with the way the memorandum of understanding between the Lebanese government and the office of the tribunal’s General Prosecutor Daniel Bellemare was being handled.
“The whole world” was looking forward to the outcome of Lebanon’s upcoming parliamentary elections, Fatfat concluded.
