FPM objection not extraordinary
Former President Amine Gemayel emphasized the necessity for Lebanon of national solidarity at the moment. He told Future News television on Saturday night that it’s not extraordinary that the Free Patriotic Movement objects judicial appointments in Lebanon as it was “always outside the herd”.
Kataeb leader praised the President’s decree on judicial formations as “a positive step,” especially in light of the continued disruption of the appointment of five members to the Constitutional Council and vacancies in the positions of general managers, some of whom were in charge of running parts of the elections.
Gemayel also pointed out that he was not surprised by recent rapprochement between Washington and Damascus and emphasized that the US was determined to support Lebanon”s sovereignty and independence.
