Hearing Postponed again in LF-L.B.C.I Lawsuit
A court hearing was postponed Thursday in a lawsuit pitting the Lebanese Forces against the Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation and its chairman Pierre al-Daher among others.
The postponement came after L.B.C.I”s defense lawyer filed a request to the court of cassation demanding that the removal of Beirut investigating Judge Fadi Oneissi off the case.
Last month, a similar hearing scheduled for February 23 was also postponed after Daher”s attorney presented a memo contesting the plaintiff”s credibility, in this case the Lebanese Forces.
Oneissi then had refused to take delivery of the memo and decided to proceed with the case, setting a new session for March 12. By law, Oneissi should step down from the case for refusing to accept the memo.
