Qahwaji Soon to Visit Cairo to Discuss Military Aid
Lebanon”s Army Commander Jean Qahwaji is expected to visit Cairo within the next few days heading a military delegation to discuss means for aiding the Lebanese military.
The Lebanese armed Forces (LAF) are working to secure a stable environment at the June 7 legislative elections, this visit taps into this task.
The 3 days official visit seeks to gain Egypt”s support and coordination with LAF, the al-Markazia news agency said on Thursday.
Qahwaji earlier paid a similar visit to the United States in which he received affirmation from U.S. officials in this regard.
Qahwaji is expected to visit Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Russia as well.
