LF VP Asserts Alliance with Kataeb and Nassib Lahoud
Lebanese Forces Vice President Georges Adwan on Saturday confirmed that his party would ally with the Kataeb and Minister Nassib Lahoud in the northern Metn.
The Lebanese Forces would run Eddy Abillamaa in the district, he added.
“The goals of the Cedars Revolution have not yet been achieved and we are facing two choices: the state, or the non-state,” he said.
While Syria could not return to Lebanon militarily, Adwan said it was possible it could return through its alliance with “some Lebanese parties” and would interfere in Lebanese affairs.
Speaking on Lebanese-Syrian relations, Adwan said, “The Syrian regime concerns the Syrians, and we never talked about a change of Syrian regime, nor do we do not have the right to.”
“The Syrian president does not have this right, and yet he did, right after the July 2006 war, when he said that the Resistance should reflect its victory inside the government,” he added.
