Opposition Meets, No Deal on 2nd Beirut Constituency, Aley Election Tickets
Opposition leaders met Monday to discuss elections, the daily Al Akhbar said Tuesday. The pro-opposition newspaper said the meeting grouped Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, Free Patriotic Movement leader Gen. Michel Aoun, Lebanese Democratic Party leader Talal Arslan and Marada boss Suleiman Franjieh as well as other party officials.
Al Akhbar said the meeting shrouded in secrecy.
It said one thing is certain, though – running for election in uniform.
The daily said opposition leaders also agreed on delaying a decision to settle an election conflict in the second Beirut constituency and Aley.
