Incitements endeavor to shape Aoun an audience
Lebanese Forces MP Antoine Zahra on Saturday said political discourse in Lebanon had calmed significantly, especially because of the “atmosphere of total reconciliation and calm that prevails in the region, and the start of preparations for European and American dialogue with Syria and Iran.”
There was one exception, the Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun, the MP added.
“Aoun can only run in an atmosphere of incitement with the hope that he can build an audience like the buildup in 2005,” Zahra said in an interview with Canadian radio.
“Today General Aoun focuses on the Sunnis in Lebanon and MP Walid Jumblatt with the hope that the spirit of sectarianism will rise in Mount Lebanon,” he said.
