Parliamentary Elections Decisive, Everyone is Under the law
Parliamentary candidate at the Beirut First District Nadim Bashir Gemayel said that the upcoming parliamentary elections on June 7 are decisive adding that everyone is under the Lebanese law regardless of their political party, affiliation or sect.
In an interview with the al-Mustaqbal News TV on Sunday, Gemayel said that the legislative elections are more than decisive adding that it would paint Lebanon”s image for the future and not just for the next 10 years. He called on the Lebanese to pay attention to its seriousness.
Gemayel commented on the issue of Hizbullah”s arms calling it dangerous, as these arms are pointed inwards rather than outwards. He added that Hizbullah”s arms serve a cause far removed from Lebanon saying: "The battle today is that of exerting state authority over all Lebanese territory."
He rejected claims of disputes between the Phalange and the Lebanese Forces saying both enjoy an excellent relationship. He added that March 14 Forces shall produce united electoral lists saying: "Ashrafieh is the beating heart of Beirut."
Gemayel reiterated his stance that March 14 Forces enjoy a comfortable stance in Beirut”s first district.
"Armenians are a basic component of Lebanese society, they need to agree and come up with a united stance on the social and political scene," Gemayel said.
