March 8 victory puts Lebanon on path of Wilayat al-Faqih
Future MP Mustafa Allouch said a victory for the March 8 alliance in the upcoming parliamentary elections would officially make Lebanon a follower of the international rejectionist trend and of the Wilayat al-Faqih, the Iranian Guardianship of the Jurist.
In an interview with the National News Agency on Sunday, Allouch said that while March 14 was calling for dialogue away from allegations and regional and international conflicts, the March 8 alliance and Hezbollah “had their weapons ready.”
Allouch said regional developments undoubtedly affected Lebanon, but only after time. He said that beginning dialogue outside Lebanon did not necessarily mean that positive and beneficial results would be achieved between regional and international powers. “That is why regional powers keep their weapons ready in their hands, as so do some factions in Lebanon,” he said.
He said that the announcement of electoral lists in Lebanon had been delayed because of the sensitivity of the elections, as well as due to awaiting regional agreements. He said electoral lists would apparently not be ready before the end of the Arab Summit or perhaps even later.
Allouch also warned that Israel would demand Lebanese water that is not used.
