Just electoral law foundation for fair country
Maronite Patriarch Nasrallah Boutros Sfeir on Wednesday expressed hope that the “necessary conditions” for the fulfillment of Lebanese hopes of a fair, just country would arise soon, primarily a fair electoral law which allowed Lebanese people of all regions and religions to be active participants in choosing their representatives.
Sfeir’s comments came after his meeting with the general director of the Issam Fares Association.
He also highlighted the role that the association played in the humanitarian and development sectors. Sfeir emphasized the “importance of support to the young generation through the aid that the association provides to a large number of the young Lebanese for their education tuitions."
