Jumblat Abandons 3 Seats in Baabda, Aley for March 14
Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Jumblat has abandoned three parliamentary seats in Baabda and Aley for March 14 officials.
Jumblat said he "sadly" relinquished the three seats which belonged to MPs Antoine Andraos, Abdullah Farhat and Faisal al-Sayegh.
During a tour of the Shouf mountains on Sunday, Jumblat said his move was aimed at "preserving the unity of the March 14 Forces."
While Jumblat saluted MP Sayegh, he reiterated his regret for not being able to nominate former MP Jean Obeid in northern Lebanon.
