March 14 members make concessions to ensure the alliance’s unity
Minister of Environment Tony Karam said in a press conference held on Monday that all March 14 alliance members made concessions to facilitate the electoral battles in the forthcoming parliamentary elections and to ensure the alliance’s unity.
Karam said that the March 8 coalition attempted to cover up their problems, but “let them mind their affairs, because we know they have disruptions in some districts.”
He added that the obstructing third vote given to the minority within the cabinet was neither convincing nor encouraging and called for not adopting it in the new government, “because the winning party should govern.”
However, Karam said he supported partnership within a new national unity government, if the opposition was not given the vote that obstructed the cabinet’s work.
