Justice and Interior ministries ready for elections
Minister of Justice Ibrahim Najjar told the Voice of Lebanon radio station on Tuesday that the Justice and Interior ministries were fully prepared for the forthcoming parliamentary elections.
Najjar said that 300 judges would be ready to follow-up on the electoral process and noted that appointing judges was within the responsibilities of the Justice Minister, “but I consulted with the High Judicial Council too.”
He also said that the judges’ names were no secret, and the Interior Ministry would announce them after Wednesday morning.
He confirmed that he would not announce his candidacy for the elections as some claimed.
