Lack of Quorum Postpones Parliamentary Session
Speaker Nabih Berri postponed a parliamentary session till next Wednesday for lack of quorum.
News reports said 35 minutes after the start of the session, MPs began leaving the parliament building.
The session”s agenda included 27 controversial items including bringing heads-of-state and ministers to trial, a draft law to grant a general amnesty for crimes committed before April 27, 2005 and eliminating taxes on gas.
Every time there is no quorum, a new session will be scheduled and "I won”t add any new draft law to the agenda," Berri warned.
