Final Touches on Metn”s March 14-Murr List
The March 14-Michel Murr coalition list in the Metn will see light soon as the last obstacles, including a veto against Lebanese Forces candidate Eddy Abi Lamaa, were removed.
An Nahar newspaper said Thursday that the last problem on formation of the list was solved after Abi Lamaa joined the ticket at the expense of Pierre Ashkar.
The list might include Michel Murr and Elias Mkhaiber for the Orthodox seats, Minister Nassib Lahoud, Sami Gemayel, Abi Lamaa and Sarkis Sarkis, four Maronites, and Elie Karami, a Catholic.
Meanwhile, MP Hagop Pakradounian became the first uncontested winner in the 2009 legislative elections following the withdrawal of Nazaret Sabounjian from the race on the Armenian Orthodox seat in the Metn.
