Future Movement MP Mohammad al-Jisr said in an interview with New TV on Thursday that significant progress was made concerning discussions with former Prime Minister Najib Mikati and Economy and Trade Minister Mohammad al-Safadi, “but the list cannot be unilaterally announced.”
Jisr said the March 14 alliance had decided in 2005 to nominate MP Elias Atallah in the Tripoli district, who played a significant role in its political life.
He also said that March 14 had reached a decision to expand its alliances prior to the Syrian-Saudi understanding.
“If we win the elections, it is not an elimination of anyone, but a victory for [our] political ideas,” he concluded.
