Assad Tells Suleiman: Lebanon Must Remain Stable
Syrian President Bashar Assad called his Lebanese counterpart Michel Suleiman on Tuesday to express support for stability in Lebanon and to condemn Monday”s attack on an Army patrol which left four soldiers dead.
Assad told Suleiman that Lebanon must remain "stable both politically and with regards to security."
He threw his full support behind the Lebanese Army”s attempt to find the perpetrators.
For his part, Suleiman thanked Assad for his sentiments and praised "the excellent" relations between the two neighboring countries.
The two presidents also discussed progress in bilateral ties in addition to developments in the Arab world.
