Bullets in Gemayel Killing Do Not Match Gun Confiscated from Tripoli Cell
A gun confiscated from a network accused of carrying out bombing attacks against Lebanese soldiers in Tripoli did not match the bullets found in former Industry Minister Pierre Gemayel”s assassination scene, An Nahar daily said Friday.
The newspaper said that tests carried out by international experts proved that the gun was not used in Gemayel”s killing in November 2006.
State Prosecutor Saeed Mirza received a written letter from the experts informing him that bullets found at Gemayel”s murder scene in suburban Jdeideh were not consistent with the gun seized from the terrorist network.
