LAF arrests 23, drugs and weapons seized
The Army Command-Orientation Directorate issued a statement on Friday saying the Lebanese Armed Forces continued raiding north Bekaa in pursuit of the assailants behind the ambush against the LAF vehicle on Monday.
The army arrested 23 people and seized drugs and weapons, in addition to ammunition and five stolen cars, the statement added.
In another statement released by the directorate on Friday, it said that the army arrested several suspected of an incident in which 650 grams of explosives were attached to a motorbike in Tyre on Thursday.
The owner of the bike, who was found outside of his house in Tyre, was among the arrested suspects, the statement continued.
