It Is Time for Sidon to Have a United Front
Prime Minister Fouad Saniora on Sunday arrived in Sidon on a two-day tour to meet with the city”s public figures and influential families as part of his electoral campaign.
"The time has come for Sidon to have a united front when it comes to decision making," Saniora told a social gathering.
"We are at the doors of a national event: the elections. Each one of us must carry out his (her) right because it is the only means to practice democracy away from tensions," he added.
He said that opposition was "essential" in a democratic system of governance.
