Parliamentary session convened only to politically damage MP’s
Lebanese Forces MP Antoine Zahra said on Tuesday, after the postponement of the parliamentary session was announced, that Speaker Nabih Berri “was calling on parliament to convene several times to embarrass some MPs politically, not for the ratification of certain laws.”
He said that the quorum was not met, because some members of parliament were working on electoral campaigns in distant areas and were not able to attend.
He said the LF rejected decreasing the tax on gasoline before finding an alternative to ensure the necessary revenues for the treasury.
