Kesrouan MPs failed their voters

The Kataeb party’s candidate for a Maronite seat in the Kesrouan district, Sejaan Kazzi, said on Thursday that the citizens of Kesrouan would have a “change of heart” in the upcoming parliamentary elections, because the MPs they elected in 2005 “failed them.”

After meeting with Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea in Maarab, Kazzi said that the electoral list he would run on had reached a very advanced stage, and added that Carlos Edde, who is also running for a Maronite seat in Kesrouan, was “not part of our complex, but our ideology.”

Kazzi also said that he wished the comments on the leaked footage where Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblatt slammed the Maronite and Sunni communities were never said, but added that he and Jumblatt were “allies and birds of a feather that flock together.”
He concluded that “Egypt is not Lebanon, and it can impose its laws on its soil,” adding that “protecting Egypt is every Arab’s duty, because its security is the security of all Arabs.”
