We call on Christians to remain in their homeland and adhere to Christian principles
Maronite Patriarch Nasrallah Boutros Sfeir said on Sunday that “when we realize that Christians have been in Lebanon since the dawn of history and survived until now, we do not need to be skeptical regarding our future condition in this nation.”
While receiving a French delegation from organizations supporting children’s education in Lebanon, Sfeir said, “Wherever you go you will find Lebanese, whether in Canada, the United States of America or in Europe.” He added that “despite the migration of Christians there are still enough here. We call on them to remain in their homeland and adhere to Christian principles.”
