Hariri and Geagea discuss elections
Future Movement leader MP Saad Hariri met with Lebanese Forces’ leader Samir Geagea on Thursday at Maarab to discuss the general situation in the country and the upcoming parliamentary elections scheduled for June 7.
Hariri and Geagea discussed the electoral process and the preparations that would allow the March 14 alliance to run in unison in the elections.
The two men also discussed the possible reasons that led Hezbollah to suggest its document in Tuesday’s sixth national dialogue session. The document was brought forth by Loyalty to the Resistance bloc leader MP Mohammad Raad in which it stated that Israel would carry out “the biggest maneuver in its history” reported to take place between May 31 and June 4, adding that Lebanon would be one of its targets.
