Mountain unity paves way of “transition to the state”
Lebanese Forces MP George Adwan called for ensuring unity in the Mountain between Muslims, Christians and Druze to pave the way for the “transition to the state.”
At a meeting with the head of Ikleem al-Kharroub’s municipalities on Sunday, Adwan said that the release of the four generals, who were held in connection with the 2005 assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, was purely judicial matter and called for not politicizing it.
The MP noted that the generals’ release proved that the Special Tribunal for Lebanon was not politicized.
He called on the Lebanese to support the choice of a powerful state, which includes all parties, when they cast their votes in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
