Lebanon”s central security council said Tuesday that at least 30,000 agents and officers are taking part in security preparations for the elections.
In a meeting presided by Interior Minister Ziad Baroud the council discussed a joint security plan with the army.
Under the plan, security and army forces will provide protection for voting posts before, during and after the elections. The council also reviewed measures to facilitate transportation for voters.
