Minister Skaff’s bodyguards attack Lebanese Forces-Kataeb supporters
Media outlets reported Thursday that Agriculture Minister Elie Skaff’s bodyguards attacked Kataeb party and Lebanese Forces’ supporters Wednesday night in the Zahle region of Wadi al-Arayech.
Residents intervened to stop the fighting, and the Lebanese army intensified its patrols following the clashes.
Tourism Minister Elie Marouni held a meeting to discuss the incident and said that “everyone knows that we are victims,” adding that Skaff will be allowed to drag the area into conflicts, “because we believe in peace.”
