Aoun Separates Himself from Berri in Jezzine, Keeps Old Kesrouan List
Free Patriotic Movement leader Gen. Michel Aoun announced he will form an electoral list in Jezzine separate from that of Speaker Nabih Berri, while maintaining the same Kesrouan list of the previous elections.
He named the Jezzine candidates as Issam Sawaya, Michel Helou and Ziad Aswad who will face off against Berri”s ticket.
Aoun said attempts to reach consensus with Berri in Jezzine failed.
The old Kesrouan list includes: Youssef Khalil, Gilberte Zouein, Nehmatallah Abi Nasr, Farid Elias al-Khazen and Michel Aoun.
