May 7 a coup d’état against the state and all its powers
The political bureau of the Kataeb party issued a statement Thursday saying that May 7, 2008 was a dangerous moment, where the weapons of the Resistance were used inside Lebanon.
The statement said that on May 7 there was an attempted coup d’état on the state and all its powers.
The Kataeb Party asked for clarifications on why Syria has not yet extradited Hussein Jaafar, who was accused of attacking the army last month in the Bekaa. Jaafar was arrested in Turkey, and was given to Syria since he entered Turkey with a fake Syrian passport.
Kataeb thanked everyone who expressed concern for Kataeb Party President Amine Gemayel during his illness and said that Gemayel’s health has improved.
