Elections will determine if Jbeil succumbs to Hezbollah
Coordinator of March 14 General Secretariat Fares Soueid, who is the March 14 Maronite candidate in the Jbeil district, said in an electoral gathering in Jbeil on Sunday that the result of the upcoming parliamentary elections in the Jbeil district will decide whether the city succumbs to the power of Hezbollah and his its allies.
Soueid described himself as one of the first people to reach out to everyone and stand against the destruction of state institutions. He said that the March 14 alliance is a pioneer in struggling and sacrificing to preserve the integrity of these institutions.
“We will be the first to face those who put a gun on the table and tell us: Walk with us, or you will face another May 7 [2008]” he added.
Soueid called on the Shia citizens in the Jbeil district to look to the future and see that Hezbollah’s project will come to an end because they “have no horizons.”
“This project pits you against your Sunni brothers, your Arab world, the international community and finally against all the Lebanese. The Hezbollah project has no future,” he said.
Soueid also said that the future lies with co-existence and the project of the Lebanese state.
