Cedar Revolution accomplishment – Syrians entering Lebanon through official channels
Democratic Gathering bloc MP Akram Chehayeb visited Maronite Patriarch Nasrallah Boutros Sfeir on Tuesday in Bkirki accompanied by the March 14 alliance’s candidates for the Aley district.
After meeting, Chehayeb said that “the struggle of the Cedars Revolution” paved the way for the Syrian delegations to enter the country via official channels, which embody the “gate of the General Security Forces.”
Chehayeb added that the Taif Accord called for clear relations between Beirut and Damascus, saying, “We are waiting for the upcoming parliamentary elections to reinstate the Taif and put an end to the Doha Agreement,” which granted the opposition the obstructing third vote in the cabinet.
