They Won”t Achieve What They Want Through Elections
The head of the "Independence Movement” parliamentary candidate Michel Mouawad said that what was not achieved by tutelage figures through assassination would not be achieved through elections.
During a dinner event for the Mouawad clan on Monday, Mouawad said: "Our battle in Zhgharta is not directed against Suleiman Franjieh or any others. It is a battle for Lebanon first and a battle for the [Lebanese state], it”s a battle for standing up to Iranian-Syrian arms and the figures of August 7 [2001], a battle against illegal arms and against turning Lebanon into a rocket base for non-Lebanese interests."
He stressed that the election battle is for establishing freedom in the Zgharta district "we say no one can better protect us other than the Lebanese state," said Mouawad.
He assured his supporters that the election would be won and decided through a few hundred votes.
