We Cannot Elect Anyone Who Succumbed To Syrian Tutelage

Free Patriotic Movement leader Gen. MP Michel Aoun on Saturday said he cannot elect any parliamentary candidate who had succumbed to Syrian tutelage.

"We cannot elect anybody whose hands are soaked in corruption," Aoun said.

"We also cannot elect anyone who had yielded to Syrian tutelage," he stressed, adding that he prefers to vote for people who "work, talk and think in one direction."

Aoun accused the majority March 14 coalition of attempting to penetrate his electoral lists.

"They are trying to penetrate the FPM lists in Jbeil via Nazem al-Khoury, in Kesrouan via Mansour al-Bon, in Metn via Michel Murr, in Baabda via Edmond Garious and in Beirut via Nayla Tueni," Aoun claimed.
