Nasrallah, not Aoun, will govern Lebanon if March 8 wins elections
Head of the Lebanese Forces Executive Council Samir Geagea said that Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, not Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun, will govern Lebanon if the March 8 coalition wins the forthcoming parliamentary elections.
During a meeting with the Koura residents on Monday night in Maarab, Geagea said that the opposition did not say that it supports the three-way division of shares, since “it is already implementing it within the cabinet through its obstructing third vote.”
The three-way division of shares, Geagea explained, was automatically in-effect when the opposition was granted eleven ministers out of thirty within the cabinet during the Doha Agreement, something which gave March 8 the obstructing third vote.
“Has the obstructing third vote ever been used in favor of the Popular Bloc, Tashnaq or FPM?” the LF leader asked.
