Relations with Sleiman unchanged despite non-alliance with Independents
Coordinator of the March 14 General Secretariat Fares Soueid stressed that his relationship with President Michel Sleiman will not change, even if the coordinator does not form an alliance with candidate for the Maronite seat in the Jbeil district Nazem Al-Khoury, who was the former advisor to the president.
In an interview with Kuwaiti newspaper As-Seyassah on Tuesday, Soueid said that the delay in forming the lists in some districts is due to the ongoing efforts to come up with joint lists between the independent candidates and the March 14 alliance.
Soueid accused the March 8 coalition of targeting the Lebanese judiciary, obstructing the execution of international resolutions and going against the constitution through the coalition’s call for a Third Republic.
