Security Source Rules Out Role of Israeli Espionage Cells in March 14 Figures Assassinations
A high-level security source said that none of the arrested suspects in the Israeli espionage cells has been connected to assassination and bomb attacks stemming from 2005 that targeted Lebanese politicians and media figures.
"Investigations have revealed no connection between those arrested and attacks that targeted March 14 and security figures since 2005 following the assassination of former premier Rafik Hariri," the sources said.
In the meantime, security forces assisted by military intelligence arrested on Saturday Hassan A.H. from Qantara for suspicion in working for the Israeli Mossad service.
Preliminary information showed that the suspect is a retired military officer in his fifties. Security forces uncovered an advanced computer and sophisticated equipment used for communicating with Israel.
