We Are Facing Unqualified People Due to Their Lack of Knowledge

“Change and Reform” leader MP Michel Aoun accused his political opponents of lacking the proper qualification and knowledge to run the country.

During an electoral rally in Ashrafieh on Thursday Aoun said: "In this election we are facing unqualified people due to the lack of knowledge."

"We are dealing with idiots who wish to constantly remain at war. We keep hearing false news repeated by young and old, we forgive criminals. However, they have to retire from politics. He who kills his brother in the resistance cannot claim to be in defense of Lebanon.

He went on to charge his political opponents saying those who rejected the Third Republic are rejecting change and reform.

"I swear by the sky, whatever its color, that Syria is not coming back," said Aoun.

He added, "They are accusing us of being the allies of the Syrian Socialist National Party (SSNP), the killers of [former elected President] Bashir Gemayel," he went on and asked, "Why weren”t the killers of Bashir punished during his brother”s reign."

He wondered if, "they want to restore the rights of Ashrafieh, then why did they wait 18 years to do so?"

Aoun blamed March 14 Forces of putting the country in deficit and high debt stressing that government must be changed.
