Soaid Confident March 14 will Win Polls, Calls for Holding Aoun Accountable
March 14 General Secretariat Coordinator Fares Soaid said Sunday he is confident the pro-government coalition will win the upcoming parliamentary elections.
“We will win the elections … because we are dedicated to the protection of Lebanon and we are ready to sacrifice anything for the resurrection of the state,” Soaid told a pre-election rally in Jbeil Sunday evening.
Turning to Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah without naming him, Soaid said: “They labeled May 7, 2008 a ‘glorious’ day, and we tell them June 7, 2009 will be a glorious day for us because it is a day of loyalty to the state, the army and Bkirki.”
Soaid also called for holding Free Patriotic Movement leader Gen. Michel Aoun accountable for “tying the fate of Christians to imaginary adventures and for making them a post office box for Iran.”
He urged March 14 supporters to “be ready to vote heavily.”
“You ousted the Syrian army from Lebanon in a peaceful, civilized, non-violent way.
