PSP: Claims of Secret Alliances with March 14 Are Baseless
The Progressive Socialist Party (PSP) said Thursday called on supporters and partisans to "commit" to voting for the Chouf”s list "in full" to foil "infiltrations" by candidates under the false pretense of supporting March 14.
In a statement the PSP slammed some politicians for "claiming – in the media and in private – they forged under the table alliances with some March 14 sides."
"Such reports are baseless," the statement added.
"The PSP calls on all its members, supporters and public in the Chouf to commit to voting for the Chouf”s list in full in order to achieve a landslide victory and foil other projects represented by competing lists and independent candidates," the statement said.
"Some are competing to use the slogans of the Cedar Revolution to infiltrate the supports of March 14 while their real goal is to strike March 14," it said.
The statement said that on June 7, Lebanon will face "a choice between the project of state-building and another that wants to maintain a semi-state" and turn the country into an arena for "foreign agendas."
