Several people were injured in a shootout Monday evening between supporters of a March 8 figure and others who were celebrating election results in Beddawi, the National News Agency reported.
As an army patrol reached the scene, unknown assailants threw a hand grenade before fleeing. The army is currently chasing them down.
One of those injured in the fighting is in critical condition, the NNA said.
