Nadim Gemayel: Veto Power Paralyzes Constitutional and Government Institutions
Newly elected Member of Parliament Nadim Gemayel rejected the idea of a veto power in cabinet because this would paralyze any constitutional and government institution in Lebanon.
Gemayel who paid a visit to Maronite Patriarch Nasrallah Butrous Sfeir on Sunday paid tribute to "Bkirki”s leader whose stances played a great role in securing our [parliamentary] victory."
He added that the people of Lebanon want peace, dialogue upon which the next cabinet would be formed.
Gemayel said that the Phalange party has not settled on whom to support in presiding over parliament, adding that the party is to hold a meeting soon to discuss the matter.
