Swine Flu Cases Rise to 12
The number of people infected with the swine flu rose to 12 on Wednesday after the health ministry announced that two new cases were diagnosed in Lebanon.
The ministry said in a statement that two Lebanese students, who were part of a 38-member delegation to the United States, were infected with the virus after they came in contact with non-Lebanese colleagues there.
The statement added that the students were being treated and were on the road to recovery. It reiterated that the virus was not homegrown and came from the outside.
The ministry also said that it was monitoring several members of the delegation who have shown swine flu symptoms.
