Christian Votes Settled the Political Choice on National level
Lebanese Forces MP Antoine Zahra during a meeting for the electoral machine of the Lebanese Forces in Batroun said that certain reactions by March 8 figures to the results of parliamentary elections have begun to appear.
"These political groups tried to elude the Lebanese before the elections that they will win the parliamentary elections in an attempt to influence the decisions of neutrals," Zahra said.
He added that these groups endeavored to give justifications for their loss in elections.
Zahra indicated that some of these political groups have fabricated new methods of subtractions and multiplying in order to show that they still retain the majority of votes among the public.
"They (opposition) have even justified their loss by accusing Patriarch Sfeir of making out of place statements."
Zahra stressed that these accusations "are rude attacks against the patriarch who has never criticized any national or religious figure."
The MP said that March 8 did not accept the fall of their project after March 14 public successfully voted for March 14 leaders.
He demanded that some March 8 leaders apologize to Bkirki and Sfeir for all the negative statements that were made against them.
He added that contrary to the image the other side tried to portray, March 14 won by the votes of the Christians.
"In conclusion, the 2009 elections have re asserted the choice of the Lebanese who opted for the state."
