Berri Vote on The Basis of a Clear Program in Harmony With LF Proposals
Lebanese Forces (LF) leader Samir Geagea said the party”s parliamentary bloc wouldn”t vote to support former Speaker Nabih Berri to preside over parliament again unless on the basis of a clear program that is in harmony with the Forces” proposals.
During a dinner honoring the LF electoral machinery in Beshari on Saturday, Geagea denounced those attacking the Maronite Patriarchy of Bkirki and its Patriarch Basrallah Sfeir.
He reminded the LF gathering that Bkirki was attacked in 1920 when greater Lebanon was established, in 1975 when Bkirki defended the Christian presence in Lebanon and "from 1990-2005 when the patriarch suffered from the worst form of occupation."
The LF leader renewed his commitment to calm in Lebanon supporting all meetings by Lebanese officials irrespective of their political affiliation on all levels in this regard.
