Jumblat Declines to Join Government that Encourages Privatization
Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblat on Sunday warned that he will not join a new government that promotes "privatization."
"I will not take part in any Cabinet that utters the word “privatization”," Jumblat said in Baakline.
"They say they are with the state. Yes, for the state. But if they want privatization, then I will simply not participate," Jumblat warned.
He said, however, that he will wait and see the outcome of consultations and "will observe the intent through the ministerial statement."
