Negativities Harm the Future of Lebanon
Maronite Patriarch Nasrallah Sfeir considered that “the continuance of negativities is of a great harm to the future of Lebanon, the symbol of civilization of the East and the world.’
The Patriarch hailed “the leading role played by the media in the protection of these values,” while meeting with a media delegation in Bkirki.
The visit of the delegation came after the tensed atmosphere that endangers the image of the multi-cultural Lebanon, the delegation declared its loyalty to Sfeir for preserving the cultural and civilized message, especially the freedom of expressing.
Sfeir also met Minister Nassib Lahhoud who said that “the Patriarch is the symbol of maintaining the sovereignty and independence of this country.”
He added that “Lebanon must invest the regional relief to form a government which represents the aspirations of the citizens,” hoping success for the Premier-designate Saad Hariri in his mission and calling all political groups to “facilitate his task to overcome this critical stage.”
Sfeir pointed while meeting a delegation from the displaced return to Breeh committee that “your case hasn’t progressed, and people are still displaced,” expressing his support to the people of the area to return back to their homes. He reminded the responsible to take care of this issue, and bring the situation back to normal.
