We Aim to Normalize Relations with Syria
“Our ambition is to have normal relations with Syria, on the basis of clear fundamentals, after resolving the problems left in the wake of the 2006 national dialogue,” said Lebanese Forces MP Antoine Zahra on Monday.
Zahra told ANB TV that the March 14 alliance “will not fall into the Syrian trap, and will not allow anyone to interfere in the formation of the cabinet.”
“No one is against Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri’s visit to Syria, however, such a trip should only be made following the government formation, and Hariri’s official appointment as prime minister,” he said.
The LF official added, “Veto power can only lead to obstructed decision-making in Lebanon.”
